Answers to: Replace ubuntu with puppyhttp://linuxexchange.org/questions/3457/replace-ubuntu-with-puppy
Hi, I have an emachines desktop computer. Windows xp became corrupted and lost a file so I couldn't boot windows. I installed ubuntu via usb stick to replace xp. Ubuntu loads, and will work, but really slow, slow, slow. I think the emachines desktop has sufficient ram and memory to run ubuntu, but it is too slow to be of use. I would like to replace ubuntu with puppy linux, but I can't get puppy installed. I tried using a usb stick since the cd/dvd drive doesn't work. Thanks in advance for your help. I would recommend going to a super-light distro as Puppy as last resort, first try Xubuntu or Lubuntu.
El_panaTue, 03 Mar 2015 09:05:59 -0500http://linuxexchange.org/questions/3457/replace-ubuntu-with-puppy/3491Answer by jnybob11http://linuxexchange.org/questions/3457/replace-ubuntu-with-puppy/3470
re-installed, and re-installed and re-installed.
