my computer: dell latitude d820 laptop on a docking station with an external monitor & keybd; and keyboard; os=Linux version 2.6.34.9-69.fc13.i686.PAE; keybd: 104 key with numeric key pad; my question/problem: for months i had to hit the combination of "windows logo key" and f8 on the laptop in order to get an image on the external monitor. this was an inconvenience since i had to stand up twice: once to turn on the laptop and a 2nd time to switch the image to my external monitor. then suddenly a few weeks ago i no longer had to hit the "windows logo key" & f8 keys - the image automatically showed on the external monitor. the down side is that the numeric key pad stopped working. everything else on the keyboard works normally. i don't know what i did to cause this. i'd like to get the numberic numeric key pad back. please help!!!
