I'm setting up a VPN with openVPN on a debian lenny server. I successfully installed it in the server, then created the certificates and both client (winXP) and server config files. For the client I use openVPN gui. I tested the tunnel and everything went just fine. I even can ping the openVPN server from the XP client. But that´s all. I can't ping any machine behind the openvpn server. Some facts that you may find useful to help me with this issue are:

The openVPN server is not the default gateway of the LAN. The dg is a pfsense server

I don´t have iptables enabled (policy of all chains are ACCEPT).

I have configured ip forwarding (echo "1" >/proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward)

I my server.conf I have the line: push route "192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0")

My openVPN server has two NIC's. One connected to the LAN, and the other to the WAN. I have checked and all seems to be OK. I think that the problem is connected with routing the traffic from the vpn to my LAN but I don't know how to do that (besides the push route line in the server.conf).

I Hope you can help me! Or did the update change my membership?

Depending on which of these is probably the cause, depends where I submit a bug to.

Thanks for all of your help.
AmosThu, 06 May 2010 11:13:09 -0400http://linuxexchange.org/questions/329/audio-not-working-after-debian-upgrade-lenny-squeeze-siddebianupgradealsaintel-hdaacer[Debian Base] Extra ram: What can I symlink to /dev/shm to improve system performance?http://linuxexchange.org/questions/35/debian-base-extra-ram-what-can-i-symlink-to-devshm-to-improve-system-performance
I am running mint 8 on a first gen netbook. I have already installed the max 2GB ram. Mint uses 200MB to 500MB on average use on my machine. I know that /dev/shm is a dynamic 'ram drive'. What can I symlink to improve performance? I am asking about this only and not about other performance improvements. Thank you very much.
georgeWed, 14 Apr 2010 00:47:10 -0400http://linuxexchange.org/questions/35/debian-base-extra-ram-what-can-i-symlink-to-devshm-to-improve-system-performancedebianperformanceramtmpfsInstall Adobe Air on Debian 64 bitshttp://linuxexchange.org/questions/25/install-adobe-air-on-debian-64-bits
Hi there,

I know it's a very common problem but I didn't find any easy solution to install adobe air on debian testing 64 bits? I thought Adobe would release official 64 bits packages but it is not done yet... Impossible to find any unofficial packages from the community either?

In my case it would be to install Tweetdeck!

Cheers
PierreTue, 13 Apr 2010 20:09:15 -0400http://linuxexchange.org/questions/25/install-adobe-air-on-debian-64-bitsdebiantesting64bitsadobe-airHybrid distros?http://linuxexchange.org/questions/1/hybrid-distros
Are there any hybrid distros?
