How do you disable menu items in KDE?

In Gnome 2, you could use the "Main Menu" applet ( aka "alacarte" ) and just uncheck any menu item / shortcut to an program which you didn't want displayed in the menu ( and thus it wasn't accessible to the user that way either )..... so my question is, how do you do the same think in KDE?

I have items showing up in the menu that I don't want to delete/remove, merely disable so they no longer show up in amy menu listing.

Real-time Sports Coverage plugin

Hey guys.

I'm seeking a real time sports update plugin that would run on my desktop so I can simply and effectively receive news, stats, scores etc... particularly from the UEFA champions league. I'm uncertain if plugin is the proper term but I hope you guys can interpret what I mean. Does something of this nature exist? If not, however, I understand the process of building such a feature would require advanced user(s) but I would be keenly interested in hearing the essence of the procedure and/or subjects that would be of value to study.

screen corruption after hibernate -- Is there another way to refresh the X11 display?

When I restore from hibernate the screen is often corrupted. I suspect the graphics memory is not being saved. Suspend-to-ram works fine.

It also looks like the font-cache is corrupted, as all letters are corrupted consistently.

Logging out and back in again fixes it, but I don't want to have to do that. I have been logging-out then hibernating, but this is more effort and eliminates most of the benefit of hibernate.

Is there another way to refresh the X11 display? The Ctrl+Alt+F1 ... does not work. It switches back to X11 instantly, but still corrupted

Running two window managers simultaneously

I'm running StumpWM and currently my girlfriend is sharing this computer. She needs IceWM, which is more conventional.

I want to be able to switch between workspaces using Ctrl-Alt-F8 and Ctrl-8-F7.

But if I do

$ startx -- :1

from a console, under my login while X is running under my girlfriend's login, I get the errors

Could not set DRM Device Bus ID, and Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1-Key (displayed multiple times)

If I try

Xephyr :1

from an xterm, I get the error

Xephyr cannot open host display, is display set?

Is what I'm trying to do possible? Any help appreciated.

Where to find Mezzo Desktop .deb files

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mezzo_(desktop_environment) The distro, Symphony OS, is closed, the websites down. The amazing part about mezzo desktop was that it was a localhost server based html/php/etc desktop. UNR is heading that way, but symphony os was there years ago. I would love to be able to try it out, modify it, redistribute an updated version with the authors permission. Does anyone have a copy of the .deb files for it? I can not find it anywhere. All google searches through pages link back to the down website.
