But when I go to edit the keyboard shortcuts under the Gnome Terminal Edit menu, there is no entry for "Select All" (only Copy and Paste). I tried to look for a file under ~/.gnome and ~/.gnome2 where these settings are saved, but couldn't find anything. How do I get this reset back to normal?
lsidenMon, 27 Sep 2010 14:40:22 -0400http://linuxexchange.org/questions/1369/cannot-change-gnome-terminal-keyboard-binding-for-select-allgnometerminal-emulatorgnome-terminal:keyboard shortcut launches terminal with / directory default!http://linuxexchange.org/questions/855/gnome-terminalkeyboard-shortcut-launches-terminal-with-directory-default
Hello , I ran this 'gconf-cleaner' just for the sake() on My Debian Box.

If I launch "gnome-terminal" from Applications Menu or from a panel icon ,it works with default $HOME directory(default behaviour). But ,with custom keyboard shortcut for Gnome Terminal in Gnome-2.30(Can set via menu System>Preferences>Keyboard Shortcuts),it opens in root directory.I mean in "/" directory. The Easy fix is to assign 'gnome-terminal --working-directory=%f ' or something similar.

Is there a way to fix this Behaviour without adding any lines to ~/.bashrc etc ?

BTW ,$HOME variable is correct.rest everything is Fine.
deepclutchTue, 15 Jun 2010 13:56:24 -0400http://linuxexchange.org/questions/855/gnome-terminalkeyboard-shortcut-launches-terminal-with-directory-defaultgnometerminal-emulatorTerminal emulator tha remembers last session?http://linuxexchange.org/questions/137/terminal-emulator-tha-remembers-last-session
I usually work with 4 terminals, each of which stay at 4 specific(and different) directories. Is there any emulator that remembers its last session and restores it once once I launch it? I don't mind manually saving the session. I work with yakuake(recently switched from guake) and terminator, all of which are cool but inconvenient to manuallry open 4 terminals and set the directories manually.
atillaTue, 27 Apr 2010 09:02:56 -0400http://linuxexchange.org/questions/137/terminal-emulator-tha-remembers-last-sessionterminal-emulatorshell-sessions
