I was trying to install openSUSE11.4 and using Live installable cd to install it. But when it start copying the root fs ..it hung on 15% and wait forever..and cd stop spinning too.

Can someone please shed some light on it.

"It depends." Usually during a CDROM installation you can press ALT+CTRL+F[0-8] to view different consoles providing different information: installer output, syslog and gain access to a shell. Gathering information from those consoles may (or may not) provide information that can assist you in tracking down the cause. Without it all that remains is guesswork IMHO.
