Grub lost after windows 8

Hi there , i used to have installed on my pc backtrack 5 R2 + ubuntu 11.10 when i installed windows 8 i lost grub

using ext2explore and other browsing tools , i can see all linux partitions , with files in there. using super grub disk , i am trying to reinstall grub , but it says , file not found Ass seen here Any ideas ?

0	Unfortunately The windows MBR in all of windows version , XP or 7 overwrite the grub in first hdd sector. you must fix and repair your grub , just use a live cd and then grub-install or grub2-install in /dev/sdx link answered 06 Oct '12, 06:17 Arash 11●1 accept rate: 0%
