ustream .com is a streaming video with audio site. while watching the video plays but audio does not play on my computer although audio does work with skype and some other sites.is the problem fixable? or is it the format of the transmission? thanks for your interest. keith

I thought Ustream wasn't working for me but looking at alsamixer my "front" speaker was turned down when I turned it up ustream was loud and clear.

Do you have any problem with YouTube or Hulu for instance? It could be some specific encoding of the audio that might not play on your configuration, while the overall audio settings are fine...

Have you tried from other browsers? (don't know which one you are currently using...)

Although not strictly related, have a look at http://html5test.com/ and check what video & audio features are present on each of your browsers. It might simply be that some specific combination of codec that ustream is using requires a different viewing software or is not supported by your browser/platform...

been away-- running firefox3 i think-- 5test gives 0/30 on video and 0/24 for audio-- u tube displays without audio-- hulu says it cannot load the player. using package manager i have added everything that i suspect might be helpful. perhaps added too much. really out of my comfort zone here. thanks for helping -k
