Why not just create a regular folder widget and set it to list the same content as the network "folder" in its config?

  1. Add the folder view widget to the desktop.
  2. Edit the folder widget by clicking the wrench icon.
  3. Copy the location of the view you want to see in that folder widget from Dolphin and paste into the field under "Specify a folder:" in the widgets config settings.

Tada, you can now see network content :)
