I'm a newbie in linux, I have some curiosity about firewalls and know that there is several open source options like iptables. pf, etc.

I wanted to start learning with pf, but I can't find any package for linux, any ideas?

(by "package" I mean pre-compiled software, preferentially a .deb file, if available)

Thanks

iptables is the closest thing to pf that you are going to find for Linux. Here is a little info on the difference.
