with the software application "wine." One can run windows software in Linux. Check from winehq.org for more information and to download the application. Also for the list of compatible applications. I do not yet know of a linux version of Tally. Again you can download the wine form the repositories of the linux distro you're using.

If you need the Tally software, use WINE and install it into that so you can run Windows software on Linux (within WINE); but ideally, if you are just looking for any accounting software, I highly suggest using a Linux-native accounting software like HomeBank, OpenQuickBooks, GnuCash, etc.
