I'm trying to build a 2-node cluster using Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 AP that will host multiple sites (domains) with each having their own IP address. So far, I have a working 2-node cluster that is properly binding two floating IP addresses to the Apache service. However, only one of the addresses is properly responding with it's web content. The other address simply says that the page can not be found. So, my first and most important question is: Is it possible for a single 2-node cluster to have 2 floating IP addresses that will each server their own web content, such as www.example.com and www.example2.com? I have been searching for documentation and answers online for days, to no resolve. Thanks! |

Need further information. In your cluster how is the decision made to choose between the servers? Is it based on number of connections, total bandwidth, round robin, etc.. Are you using a single IP Address for the public to reach and switch between the apache servers behind the scene? Are you using NAT to switch between the clusters? |
